After going through renovations earlier this year to transform from a shoe factory into an event space, JX Event Venue in Stillwater officially opened its doors and hosted its first wedding on July 9.
With a capacity of 720 people for a cocktail reception or 500 for plated service, it is now one of the largest event spaces in the state, offering a full-service salon, studio, and secret tunnel and speakeasy. “People are in awe of the size and character of the space,” says owner Judd Sather. “It's really fun to listen to people call this 42,000 square feet rectangle ‘beautiful,’ but the high arching windows and exposed beams and brick really grab people visually.”
Exuding a timeless, elegant ambiance, special features include fireplaces, Chiavari chairs, a special effects photo booth, and—no joke—mobile, robotic bartenders that are currently under research and development.
If you’re interested in the space, don’t hesitate to reach out. Only 15 dates remain for 2016 weddings, with nearly half of 2017 already booked.
