On behalf of the mpls downtown council—a member-supported business organization—I am delighted to invite you to enjoy summer in your downtown. We strive to create an extraordinary downtown We collaborate with public, private, and nonprofit organizations to create a consistently compelling experience in our city’s core, and advocate for initiatives that promote growth and stability.
Our work is guided by Intersections: The Downtown 2025 Plan, our vision for downtown and a road map for getting there. The success of our 2025 Plan will help to ensure that we provide state-of-the-art green spaces, livelier streets, innovative retail, and a vibrant and connected city.
Downtown mpls is home to more than 160,000 employees and 43,000 residents, and is part of a community that welcomes more than 30 million visitors annually. Our downtown is filled with entertainment, events, dining, nightlife, sight-seeing, and shopping that offer an extraordinary experience for all.
Downtown is home to hundreds of events annually, including the Minneapolis Aquatennial, one of the Twin Cities’ most beloved summer celebrations. We love convergent events downtown and we know you will, too. Make a day or a weekend of it, and experience all that downtown has to offer.
