Posh baby boutique Oh Baby! is opening a second location in Wayzata. Again. Three years after closing their Wayzata store, which ran for a decade on Lake Street, Mary and Tom Lauer have decided the time is right to return to the lakeshore shopping district—just three doors down from the old store. The new Wayzata Oh Baby! will open in July.
Mary Lauer, CEO and head designer, credited the end of years of construction in downtown Wayzata for Oh Baby!'s return.
"The resurgence of the downtown area from the Wayzata Bay Center redevelopment, and the opening of many great local and national shops and restaurants, makes Wayzata an exciting place for shoppers and retailers alike," Mary Lauer said in a statement.
Oh Baby!, an upscale store that sells children's fashion, home furnishings, and decode—much of it exclusive to the store and handcrafted by local artisans—will keep its flagship at Galleria in Edina. The Lauers also own Que Sera interior design studio and retail showroom in Excelsior.
