Dr. David Hartigan is a dual fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in sports medicine and comprehensive hip care. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He spent his first four years in practice helping develop the Sports Medicine program at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Dr. Hartigan currently practices at Twin Cities Orthopedics in Edina and Maple Grove.
Dr. Hartigan specializes in all aspects of hip care (hip impingement, labral tears, dysplasia, snapping hip among others) and performs minimally invasive anterior total hip arthroplasty. In addition to comprehensive hip care, he is fellowship trained in taking care of all sports injuries (knee, elbow, hip, and shoulder) for all levels of athletes. He has previously worked with the Carolina Panthers (NFL), Arizona Coyotes (NHL), Phoenix Rising (USL soccer), and a multitude of high schools.
Dr. Hartigan has a “patient-centric” care philosophy, in which each patient is treated like a professional athlete. He uses a team approach to care for each patient as an individual, and to ensure a seamless recovery from their injury or ailment.
