Ice cream cocktails at Hi-Lo Diner in Longfellow Minneapolis
Summer best kicks off with ice cream, and the recently opened Hi-Lo Diner in Longfellow has some scoops that will really make you scream. We’re talking about ice cream drinks of the boozy sort—luscious concoctions that pack the punch of a cocktail but give you all the feels of nostalgia. Drinking one feels like you’re getting away with something. Using local Tattersall spirits for this new diner, The Alexander Hamilton is a zipped-up version of the brandy Alexander, made with cognac and dark rum. The Periscope Down, meanwhile, is like a root beer mocha with Fernet. It gives a whole new meaning to the word shake.
