Q: I’m tempted to bring some bright color into a room, but will I regret it down the road?

A: Not at all. While the specific color choices and combinations really depend on you and your comfort level, which designers can discover during the interview process, a designer can help ensure you’re pleased with the way colors you choose work into your overall scheme. Right now we’re certainly seeing wonderful bold colors like orange and coral and Kelly green combined with a neutral—say, a steel blue-gray. A room with too much color is often too stimulating, so you usually need a neutral to serve as a foil. It’s all about attaining balance.
