Between a change in our deadline schedule and the holidays, I feel like I have been on quite the blogging sabbatical!
I haven’t blogged for mspmag.com in more than two weeks and yet the only thing I have to say is: Have you guys seen how many cute peacock-theme clutches there are in the world?
. . . and that is just a small sampling of them! I found the above clutches by searching "Peacock Clutch" on Etsy and could easily spend an entire day perusing them.
So now, officially added to my ever-expanding “DIY Wedding Projects List” is to make custom clutches for all my ladies. I am currently on the hunt for vintage or vintage-inspired clutches in varying shades of dark blue along with vintage brooches. Hopefully in an upcoming blog I’ll be able to show you an image of the things I actually did find, but for now, here’s a little Vision Board of the items I’m hunting for:
I’m hoping to get started on these soon! I’ve also got all of the needed supplies to get started on our bouquets. I have a rather impressive collection of assorted feathers, vintage brooches, earrings, wool flowers, and ribbon! I'm excited to see both the bouquets and purses come together!
A quick update on other wedding tasks: We have started brainstorming for the design of our invitations. Once again my groom will be designing them and I hope to add some final touches with the help of friends and family. We set a goal of having them designed by February 1 and in the mail by March 1. Josh is also working on a custom-designed wedding website, which will allow our guests to RSVP as well as make song requests online.
In my next blog I’ll be talking to a professional wedding photographer and asking him all those tough questions about how to select your photographer as well as tips on getting perfect wedding photos.
