I'm stumped. For the life of me I cannot find a white dress for my rehearsal dinner. Who knew that this would be trickier than finding a real dress? It certainly helped my quest for THE dress to have the amazing team at L'Atelier leading the way. But now that I'm on my own, I'm stumped.
Here's the conundrum: I don't know what I'm looking for. Do I want sweet? Sexy? Can't be too sexy, the rehearsal is in a church, after all. Curve hugging? Flowy? Long? Short? Super short? I just don't know.
I started my search at the L'Atelier "Little White Dress" event and found a white frock with an exposed black zipper that I loved, but it felt more shower than rehearsal to me. The short hemline and bare shoulders probably led me to that conclusion. I've also swept through local stores such as OPM, Neiman Marcus, Monique Lhuillier, Bumbershute, and more, but I have yet to pull the trigger. I know I want to wear white, because it's not a color I wear often, and I know it needs to be formal enough to match our rehearsal dinner venue, but fun and fashionable enough that it is still me. I also have lofty aspirations of looking very fit, so I'm open to something slim, but since my wedding diet is commencing, er, this week, whatever I try on right now (hopefully) doesn't look like it will in July. I'm looking to you for your advice. Have any of you found your rehearsal dinner dress yet? Are you planning to wear white? Or do you think you'll go bold with a bright color? I've listed a few inspirational options above and would love to hear your thoughts! Share with us your plans or on our Facebook page . . . can't wait to hear from you!
