Last weekend's epic blizzard has us thinking wintery nuptial thoughts at Mpls.St.Paul Weddings. Over the years, we've seen brides become much more creative with apparel, as they don accessories to suit their wedding season—Wellies and cute umbrellas on rainy spring days, for example. If you're planning a winter wedding, it's especially important to consider Minnesota's infamous elements and pick up some warm accessories.
Brides dreaming of outdoor photos in the snowy landscape—or those who just want to stay warm on the big day—should consider purchasing a fur, says Donna Bohn at Monique Lhuillier in Edina. The bridal salon just received its annual fur shipment and now offers a shrug, scarf, and stole in mink or sable. The mink is available in black, chocolate, and pearl—perfect for brides and moms, too. Prices range from $1,500 to $4,500, depending on the style and type of fur.
In a true testament to Minnesota, newlyweds Colleen and Kurt Keogh braved the December 11 blizzard (that's right, the show must go on) as they tied the knot at the James J. Hill Reference Library in snowy downtown St. Paul. Olive Juice Studios captured the wild winter day (we particularly love the pics of the groomsmen rolling around in the snow). Check out Colleen's stunning white hooded fur, which she purchased last year at Macy's.
Not into fur? The toasty accessory options are endless. In another snowy nuptial adventure, this wedding party also took on the blizzard with stylish matching boots and coats for the bridesmaids. No one will forget these weddings!
