Romona Keveza Collection 2014
The Romona Keveza fashion show would not disappoint. From the start of the music the gowns on the statuesque models took center stage. Beginning with Romona Keveza Luxe, her evening wear line, the true sophistication began. Her collection stated with gowns in silk crepe accented with a gold belt, which will be her signature for 2014. Bold jewel tones and stunning soft blushes and the amazing “Tiffany Blue” (but it is prettier as robin’s egg blue) with flared skirts creating a buzz. Fabrics and textures are what make this collection so take note with the Silk Shantung Taffeta and Silk Organza such as those seen by Taylor Swift in the Diet Coke commercials and gracing the red carpets. Romona is the one to watch this season.
For the all-awaited presentation of her Legends by Romona Keveza Collection, the true essence of a bride emerges with dream-like veils adorned with laced edging.
Romona takes us this season through time:
1900: New York Heiress in a Lyon Lace off the shoulder gown
1910s: Gibson Girl pearl beaded corset ball gown
1920s: Gatsby Socialite beaded Chantilly lace mermaid skirt
1930s: Silver Screen re-embroidered French lace gown
1940s: Hollywood royalty Baroque ribbon lace gown
1950s: Allure Goddess sweetheart neckline gown made of Chantilly lace, delicately scattered with shimmering paillettes.
And finally, the 1960s, the Ingenue Starlet illusion boat neckline with a Diaphanous overskirt over a narrow underskirt.
She rounded out her collection with the Today halter neckline keyhole back gown, Tomorrow strapless Guipure Lace and Forever strapless gown made of organic crystal beaded lace, scalloped neckline, and fluted chapel length skirt designs. Stunning!
