You might recognize her from the photography business she runs with her husband, Cadence & Eli Photography, but now Cadence Cornelius has launched a boudoir photography service. Minx is meant for brides who want to add a little bit of spice to their pre-wedding plans, all while remaining private and tasteful. Cornelius began working in boudoir photography six years ago, and knew she had a knack for making women feel comfortable in their own skin. As she continued to shoot photography for Cadence & Eli, she realized brides might be apprehensive if they thought Eli was going to be at the shoot. Thus, Minx became a separate entity and brand—with a separate website.
Minx offers three packages—“Flirty,” “Foxy,” and “Saucy”—all with varying services, two of which include professional hair and makeup application. For brides looking to try boudoir, Cornelius has a few tips: “Vet your photographers, be careful who you choose, and make sure it’s somebody you feel really comfortable with," she says. "Keep in mind what you want to look like, and have your hair and makeup professionally done. Also, bring a variety of outfits. If something’s not working, it’s just easier with more options.”
