Posh Bridal Couture, located in Wayzata and owned by Marie Suchy, will be expanding to the home of country music come July 10. The Nashville location will be managed by Amanda Oberhaus, a Posh employee and previous bride. “One of the hardest things to do is find an employee that I trust to run a store that’s quite a few states away,” Suchy says. “She definitely runs things the Posh way and is a great salesperson. She is going to be perfect for down there."
The store will be located in Cummins Station, part of Nashville’s Central Business District, and will be housed in a building from 1907 that has been restored and made eco-friendly. Suchy chose Nashville for a second location after visiting numerous times and convincing her husband it was a good business move. “I just fell in love with the city,” she says. “It has a very similar vibe to Minneapolis.”
Although the official opening is July 10, there will be a reveal of sorts on July 9, during an opening party for friends and family. Suchy is confident in the choice to expand, feeling that it will only bring more attention to Posh’s 5-year-old Minnesota location. “We’ve created and established what’s called the ‘Posh way’ in how we treat our clients, how we treat our vendors and our friends at Posh. I think this is just going to make people more aware."
