Posh Bridal Couture in Wayzata is expanding! Opening yesterday to the public, the new space houses high-end couture bridal dresses.
“The new space is definitely very luxurious,” says Posh owner Marie Suchy. “It’s more like a home than a store.”
But they aren’t giving up their prime western suburb location. In fact, the addition is just right across the hall from the original store and gives off a lavish ambiance with everything—from the walls to the carpet to the furniture—colored ivory.
With the additional 2,900 square feet, the store will be able to accommodate more appointments and provide better service. “We just wanted to make more room. More room for more brides and more dresses,” Suchy says.
Posh’s delve into luxury will give the store a new representation in the bridal industry. The store had previously focused on dresses in the $1,500 to $2,000 range, which Suchy says hindered the store from achieving status in the upscale market. Posh Bridal now carries dresses with price tags up to $18,000.
The new designers include:
- Matthew Christopher
- Ian Stuart
- Jorge Manuel
- Badgley Mischka
- Birnbaum & Bullock
- Steven Birnbaum
- Sareh Nouri
Although Posh is adding these couture dresses, the store will remain true to its mission of providing the best customer service, regardless of the bride’s price point. “Our customer service is number one,” Suchy says. “Lots of times, you’ll go in for a $1,000 dress and it’s not the same experience as if you’re going for a $10,000 dress. But we offer the same exact experience no matter what your price point is.”
