If you're like me, scouring magazines, websites, blogs, and any other wedding-related medium is like a hobby. I've been known to tear sheets out of magazines, screen capture blog posts, snap pictures, and essentially do whatever needs to be done to gather new and ingenious ideas in the wedding world.
Over the years, I've developed quite the little collection of wedding ideas (see our new Mpls.St.Paul Weddings issue coming to newsstands next week to read all about my "Wedding Box"), and they're all stored away to be called on for when I make my own trip down the aisle.
But with the help of sites such as StyleMePretty.com, you needn't be a collector of all things weddings to get creative ideas for your big day. The site has a great tool that enables you to create inspiration boards from pictures you love. (See my navy and pink montage below.)
Try creating your own inspiration board, whether it be online or merely by pinning your ideas onto a bulletin board. Seeing how each idea plays off the other might help you narrow your vision and make some decisions about how you want to execute your big day.
If you're stumped on choosing a local vendor, seek the help of Geri Wolf's inspiration boards at the Style Laboratory. At her Gaviidae Common location, you can create your own board from pictures taken by or of local vendors at local weddings and venues.
So what are you waiting for? Go! Get inspired! And be sure to share your inspiring ideas with us here or on Facebook!
