One of the most overlooked wedding traditions is the cutting of the cake. Sure, it had it's glory days when it was popular to smash the cake in the bride or groom's face . . . thank goodness people are moving away from that lovely little trend . . . but more often than not, brides and grooms of today are sneaking away with their photographer and their parents for a private cutting of the cake.
I think keeping this moment between you and your loved ones is perfectly fine, but it's still important to remember to make it special. These adorable little forks, recommended to me by a coworker and found on Etsy, are the perfect detail to show you put some thought into your first dessert as man and wife.
These lovely little hand stamped forks also make a great wedding gift.
Yum. Just thinking about wedding cakes is making me hungry!
What do you think? Would you use these?
