If you're a bride-to-be without a gown, this is the time to start shopping. Along with boots and scarves, the change in season also signals new collections from bridal designers, whose gowns are starting to make their way to Twin Cities shops as we speak. One we're particularly excited for is the 2015 line by highly coveted international designer Inbal Dror. Her creations will be featured during a trunk show this weekend at l’atelier couture. Owner Amanda Kautt shares her enthusiasm about the new collection with Mpls.St.Paul Weddings and explains why you should be excited, too.
Tell us about the new Inbal Dror collection. What makes it stand out from the rest?
Inbal Dror's gowns evoke sensuality and lightness. Her gowns have such a light structure that brides go crazy for. She keeps all the structural elements to help shape a woman's body and adorn it with luxurious detail.
What is your favorite piece in the collection?
Inbal's signature mermaid style is magnificent. It is a rose laser cut lace gown that epitomizes today’s fashionable bride.
How have designers and customers at l'atelier responded to the collection?
Many past brides wish we had the collection when they were selecting their gowns. We have had them in the boutique for less than a week and almost every client has tried them on and has been thoroughly impressed. I think the traditionalist bride will be surprised by how beautiful she will feel in one of Inbal's gowns.
What do you have planned for the trunk show?
We wanted the event to feel decadent and lush. We collaborated with Ashley Fox to create a custom floral installation for the event, where clients could interact with the installation and imagine themselves getting married in one of the gowns. We will be serving personalized Champagne bottles adorned with gold engraved tags that say “Cheers Me!" and tied with a Silk & Willow blush ribbon, calming sachet pouches that say “Enjoy Me!,” and yummy cookies from Gateaux that say “Devour Me!” We want our clients to feel special.
l’atelier is celebrating the launch of the Inbal Dror collection with a trunk show this weekend, September 10-12. Space is limited, so call 612-367-8120 to make your appointment and experience the dresses for yourself.
