Che Bella is switching cities, moving its elegant outlook on all things bridal from St. Paul to Minneapolis. The store will officially open its new doors next week near Loring Park, a spot that owner Jennifer Meyer has been eyeing for years. Between the dream-spot vacancy and little elbowroom left in the original location, the move was an easy decision. “It was fate that I found this space, and we are so lucky to be moving here,” Meyer says. “The area is one of my favorite parts of Minneapolis.”
The shop boasts vaulted ceilings and a lofted space that will serve as a creative area. Brides will try on prospective dresses in an old elevator shaft that has been converted to dressing rooms—a perk from the space’s previous tenant. The store aims to be a bit more modern, without losing the vintage aesthetic that molded its previous locales’s interior. “It’s going to be really pretty, with a little art deco and a bit eclectic, too,” Meyer describes. Look for the same eight lines and selection of accessories and jewelry that have made Che Bella successful, just with a bit more room to roam.
