Each Couture Bridal Market in New York, we set out to find a new designer, new talent who is trying to break through with fabrics of authenticity, taking that bold step onto the world stage of Bridal Fashion. For many designers it’s a scary time, wondering if buyers will like their designs, the fabrics, the overall direction, and the designer's personal philosophy. It’s a bold step because for each designer it’s personal!
The Spring 2015 Bridal Couture Collection of Jean-Ralph Thurin caught our eye for many reasons, but mainly because it’s about the “Art of Dressing,” old and vintage Hollywood inspiration. In talking with Jean-Ralph, we learned of his love and fascination for the time when Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, and Sophia Lauren graced the big screen with their silhouettes. A time of understated sophistication, glamour, and alluring femininity. Enjoy!
