Paying homage to the style and vision of women in the arts, Carolina Herrera's Spring 2011 collection, as seen at this year's bridal market in New York, was inspired by the individuality, intelligence, and beauty of female painters, poets, dancers, photographers, models, sculptors, and explorers. The styles ranged from an ivory silk Mikado bustier gown with draped appliqués and an organza bias bolero inspired by Georgia O'Keefe to a silk tulle and Jane Austen-inspired organza empire waist dress with black silk organza floral appliqué. The bouquets, featuring blooms from a single type of flower, appeared on a handful of other runways as well.
