Mark your calendars, brides-to-be! This Thursday from 6–9 p.m., a&bé bridal shop is hosting a grand opening party to celebrate its Minneapolis arrival. The event will feature delicious drinks and food, a bumpin’ DJ, and envy-inducing giveaways (including a wedding dress!), so don’t miss out and RSVP here. (Expert tip: If you can’t make the party, stop by a&bé on a Thursday, when no appointments are necessary, to take a look around.)
The store’s owners, Anna Walsh and Breanna Doll, pride themselves in showcasing up-and-coming designers’ swoon-worthy dresses and accessories, while adding some familiar names to the mix. “We’ve got some funky stuff, with a little boho and laidback California vibe, but we also have more traditional dresses,” says Walsh. “Once we understand what a bride wants, we can create a style that ties into that vision.”
The focus on an intimate experience with an inspired and open-minded bride is what propelled the Denver-based store to begin eyeing a second location right here in the Twin Cities. “This is such a creative and awesome community, and Breanna and I are fundamentally Midwesterners,” Walsh says. “We work with great people, and part of the reason why we wanted to go to Minnesota was because the people here are so nice.” Stylish and kind? Now we’re blushing.
