Mona William's new permanent space at Mall of America, first floor, near Nordstrom.
On the heels of Mona Williams opening at Mall of America, owner Patric Richardson told loyal customers this week that he's closing his original location, in Northeast Minneapolis. But he says that wasn't always the plan. "My landlord made me an offer for my lease that I couldn't pass up," says Richardson, whose store is the last boutique left on a blog of bars and restaurants across from Surdyk's. "I am open to another space in Northeast or the North Loop, but still looking around."
Mona Williams sells a mix of new European fashion and designer vintage. The storefront is also a hub for Richardson—a.k.a. the Laundry Evangelist— to hold his popular laundry training class. Mona Williams will vacate is Minneapolis location at the end of September. Until then, all apparel, shoes, and bags are 50 percent off. 18 University Ave. NE, Mpls.
