It’s Fashion Week in Minnesota, and that means plenty of opportunities to go out and celebrate cashmere and velvet before we actually need to start wearing it. From boutique trunk shows to major runway events, there are lots of ways to celebrate the local retail and design community. We've rounded up the best of the week.
Indulge in Goodthings Fashion and Style Event
Tuesday, Sept. 20, 7:15 p.m.
Join Goodthings and Indulge Salon and Spa for their annual fashion show, light hors d'oeuvres, wine and beer samples, and a gift. Matryoshka in Japan: Danielle Everine Fashion Exhibit
Tuesday, Sept. 20, 7-9 p.m.
Former Project Runway designer Danielle Everine unveils her new collection, inspired by Matryoshka nesting dolls and the Japanese Daruma doll, with an interactive gallery show. HOMME Menswear Fashion Show
Wednesday, Sept. 21, 7-10 p.m.
This isn’t just a celebration of fall fashion; it’s also a celebration of Minnesota men. The runway show features local brands modeled by influential men from around the Twin Cities. Better yet, it takes place at a brewery. Tickets are $20 - $50. Modist Brewing Co., 505 N. 3rd St., Mpls.
Thursday, Sept. 22, 6:30 p.m.
Mpls.St.Paul Magazine presents its annual fall fashion show spotlighting the best in fall fashion. This year's show includes a "kiss" to Prince with original designer pieces inspired by Minnesota's icon of music and fashion. The show is sold out (we told you to get your tickets early!), but you'll be able to see the Prince tribute designs up close at Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Sept. 27-Oct. 18.
FGI-MSP Presents Fall into Luxury
Friday, Sept. 23, 7-9:30 p.m.
See the latest fall looks from local retailers and designers, including MartinPatrick 3, June, Mona Williams, Bumbershute, and Mona Nunez, and jewelry from Milana Stile and Stephanie Lake Design. Galleria’s Pop the Trunk Weekend

Find your new fall favorites with trunk shows, sales, and some of the best in fall style. North Loop Fall Crawl

After you’ve seen the best fall looks walk the runway, it’s time to buy your own fall wardrobe. Corset Styling Celebrates Nite of Fall Fashions

Envision 10-Year Anniversary Fashion Show

The long-running local fashion event is back, with what promises to be one of its biggest shows yet feature current collections from designers including George Moskal, Kindred Folk, Raul Osario, Russell Bourrienne, and Xee Vang, plus a Stephanie Lake book signing, and live music before and after the show. Minneapolis Craft Market: Fashion Week MN Edition

Full Fashion Panic: Mechademia Fashion Show
Sunday, Sept. 25, 3-4:30 p.m.
