Linden Hills home and gift store Victory has reopened with new owners who plan to stay true to the shop’s rich and eclectic charm while mixing in their own vintage flair. Susan Blankenship and Lisa Balke are longtime Hunt & Gather vintage dealers who dreamed of having a shop of their own. They bumped into Victory founder Kerry Ciardelli just as she was ready to move on from the store after a dozen years. Ciardelli has been traveling, focusing on her design clients, and producing the Scout Guide Minneapolis.
“Supporting small business and shopping local is a real passion for me,” Ciardelli said in a farewell e-mail to Victory customers.
Blankenship and Balke, longtime fans of Victory, plan to continue with many of the store’s popular lines. What they’ve added fits right in: a Bombay chest, ornate gold mirrors, silver and gold flatware, a case of vintage jewelry, and even a small rack of vintage clothing. Hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 3505 W. 44th St., Mpls.
