Here’s what we know about Target’s corporate pep rally Wednesday at Target Center: Taylor Swift took a spill on stage, which only made her cuter. Coldplay performed, and like a true soldier of the bullseye, Chris Martin took his shirt off . . . and traded it for red and khaki. Jamie Foxx appeared in person; Ellen Degeneres via satellite. Hometown boy and Target home designer Nate Berkus lip synched to Warren G, and took selfies backstage with “new buddy,” fellow Target apparel designer, Olympian Shaun White.
In the past, Target employees have been sworn to secrecy about the star-studded event, which has included A-listers from Oprah to Justin Timberlake. This year, the 14,000-some employees in attendance were invited to take the festivities to social media, with pre-approved hashtag: #Targetscoop. (“We could really use some good press” takes up too many characters.)
