MODE opens Friday in Roseville. Yes, that MODE—the one that used to sell brand-name contemporary apparel at discount prices in Maple Grove.
The Fargo-based company owned by Ciara Stockeland is re-entering the Twin Cities market after a two-year hiatus and some restructuring. MODE now focuses on denim—tagline: “Home of the $40 Designer Jean” with tops and accessories to match. Brands include James Jeans, Kasil, and Level 99.
And, rather than try to operate multiple stores from afar, MODE now sells franchises—similar to Mainstream Boutique and Apricot Lane. Roseville is the first Twin Cities location (with a handful of others already operating around the Midwest), and Stockeland thinks there's room for more across town.
MODE will celebrate its Roseville opening by giving away 80 pairs of jeans. On Friday and Saturday, Aug. 1 and 2, the first 40 customers to make a $20 purchase will get free jeans. 2113 Snelling Ave. N., Roseville, shopmodestore.com
