On the heels of the Shops at Target launch this week, the Minneapolis-based retailer announced its second wave of Shops to debut Sept. 9. Target will again partner with respected independent stores from around the country: New York boutiques Kirna Zabete for women and Odin for men; San Francisco gift boutique The Curiosity Shoppe and Boston's PATCH NYC, known for art, home decor, gifts and accessories. The fall Shops will feature more than 230 products exclusive to Target. Meanwhile, shoppers are still trying to find the dog collars and ceramic cheese plates sprinkled throughout the store as part of the first batch of Shops. Let's hope the smart Target merchants are shopping the current Shops for ways to improve the presentation. See what some shoppers had to say about the Shops at Target. If nothing else, Target is helping the trend conscious identify the stores to visit when shopping on the coasts. And that cool factor alone may make the Shops a worthwhile endeavor.
