Two local retailers with impeccable taste are teaming up in a way that could potentially be pretty enough to break Instagram.
Mille will open a “kiosk”—their term, but you can be sure it will be like no kiosk you’ve ever seen—at Spruce Flowers & Home in Edina. Mille is a an online destination for Claire Vivier, Rachel Comey, and other cool fashion brands, with a boutique that is open limited hours in South Minneapolis—not far form 50th & France, but just far enough to be missed by a lot of Edina shoppers. And fans of Spruce, and its cool neighbors like Room No. 3, are sure to love Mille’s pretty, minimal aesthetic. Mille owner Michelle LeBlanc plans to stock her space at Spruce with home accessories, fragrance and small gifts.
“We look forward to creating co-branded events for our customers,” says Spruce owner Amy Backman. “Mille customers who are wanting to shop on a more regular basis will be able to stop by six days a week and see what she has to offer.”
Backman tells me the two are open to pursuing what customers crave: using Spruce as a pick-up for Mille merchandise not stocked at the Edina store; and potentially even doing Twin Cities deliveries—how about a pretty necklace with those flowers?
The collaboration will debut the first week of September, and is expected to continue at least through the holidays. 4940 France Ave. S., Edina, 612-767-1101
