When others zig, an industry leader like russell + hazel has the instinct to zag. It's no accident that the Minneapolis-based purveyor of chic office supplies introduced an overwhelmingly white spring collection. "There's so much color and pattern out there now. This feels really fresh," says russell + hazel founder Chris Plantan. The company carried the white theme through its launch party Thursday at the flagship Minneapolis store. There were white balloons and a table full of white treats: cake pops, marshmallows, cookies, and popcorn.
It's the sort of comprehensive treatment that makes russell + hazel so distinct, and makes its one and only company store such a dynamic place to shop. This was just a taste of things to come as russell + hazel begins to branch out from paper goods into kitchen and garden. The new acrylic "curiosities" boxes--which instantly elevate clutter into collection--are a sure hit. And check out the new Oscar Wilde collection of vintage matchbooks, bar accessories, photography books and masculine paper goods.
