There’s a new Red Wing Heritage boot in stores. It’s called the Ice Cutter, although I have to think the men stepping into it are more likely to be cutting roasted duck breast at a white tablecloth sort of restaurant. But, were they to find themselves out on the middle of a frozen lake (or waiting to get into Marvel Bar on a January night), the Ice Cutter, based on a a classic Red Wing style, is water resistant and lined with wool insulation. The lug sole is good for traction. It comes in black and red maple and sells for $380.
The Ice Cutter will make its global debut at Askov Finlayson on Thursday, Oct. 17. Mingle with Red Wing staff and enjoy a cocktail while you shop from 5 to 8 p.m. 200 N. First St., Mpls.
