Primrose Park is making like a city slicker on a half day Friday and heading to the Brainerd Lakes area. But not just for the summer. Boutique owner Jennifer Carnahan, who launched her contemporary women's store last year in Northeast, announced plans to open a second Primrose Park in Nisswa.
"The Brainerd Lakes area is special to my family," Carnahan says. "My parents met as counselors at Camp Lincoln, my grandpa has a second home on Lake Hubert since back when the railroad stations were still in use, and our family has been on Round Lake since 1986. To be able to open a store and join this vibrant community is a dream come true."
Primrose Park is scheduled to open by mid-June on the corner of Nisswa Square, next to Stonehouse Coffee and Coco & Co. The store will feature lines that appeal to multiple generations, Carnahan says, with more emphasis on casual pieces than the Northeast shop, and a majority of prices ranging from $10 to $50. A grand opening event is planned for June 20. 25354 S. Main St., Nisswa
