Pacifier is crossing the river. The modern baby boutique with three stores in Minneapolis and Edina is getting ready to open another location in St. Paul’s Highland Village. Beyond easier access to cool baby apparel, high design gear, gifts, books and nursery décor, there are two enormously exciting aspects to this new location. One: it’s next door to Punch Pizza. Two: there’s a parking lot—a first for the urban retailer, which sells strollers and cribs and other large objects in addition to the small stuff.
Now in its eleventh year, the husband and wife run retailer has grown steadily from one boutique in Northeast to a mini-chain with a strong online business as well. The Highland store will be similar in size to Pacifier’s 50th & France location—even a bit larger, co-owner Wing Witthuhn says. It will be run in partnership with Kelsey Cerovac and is expected to open the first week of November at 714 Cleveland Ave. S.
