Minneapolis mom Sonal Gerten recently launched a line of baby and toddler clothes that celebrates play. Tumblewalla is inspired by the free flowing styles of Gerten's native India. The name means "one who tumbles" in Hindi. Her designs incorporate bright colors and playful elements, like a Tiger on the tush of the Raja romper. Gerten takes play seriously. "Play is not just a pastime, but a critical component of a child’s physical, social and emotional growth," she says in a statement about the company. "We are lucky – many kids around the world don’t have access or opportunity to play.” A dollar from each item purchased goes to Tumblewalla's Tumble & Tickle Movement, to raise funds and awareness for nonprofits doing work critical to the development of children around the world. Shop Tumblewalla online, and look for the line in stores soon.
