Yep, that was Jason Segel and Jesse Eisenberg at Mall of America over the weekend. The two actors, along with Joan Cusack, Mickey Sumner, and Mamie Gummer, filmed scenes for their upcoming movie The End of the Tour. Over two days, they shot in eight MOA locations including Sea Life aquarium, Nickelodeon Universe and Theatres at Mall of America. Between scenes, Segel, Eisenberg, and Cusack shopped at a Mall of America gift store, a mall spokesperson tells me (unfortunately, they were not allowed to share photos of the stars). Segel and Eisenberg went on a few rides at Nickelodeon Universe, and on Saturday morning, Segel surprised attendees of the Free Family Flicks screening of The Muppets. The case and crew stayed at Radisson Blu Mall of America. The End of the Tour is a biographical film about author David Foster Wallace (played by Segel), who committed suicide in 2008 and is known for his critically acclaimed book Infinite Jest. Eisenberg plays real-life Rolling Stone writer David Lipinsky who recounts his experiences with the author during a book tour.
