If you haven’t visited the Minneapolis Institute of Arts Museum Store in a while, you’ll be impressed by the transformation. The T-shirts and trinkets have been replaced with mixed metal jewelry, chic totes, beautiful sushi plates, and glassware. The upscale revamp is part of a bigger effort to improve the entire MIA lobby, including new food and drink vendors (Hurray! Coming soon: Half Pint, a new concept restaurant for kids, and for the grownups, food and drink from Dogwood and Rustica). Stop by Thursday evening, Nov. 21, 6 to 9 p.m. for a Third Thursday event with AIGA MN to celebrate the upgrades, and the launch of Northern Grade, which is setting up a holiday pop-up market at MIA featuring American made goods. 2400 3rd Ave. S., Mpls.
