Another designer brand bites the dust at Macy's Minneapolis store. Louis Vuitton has moved out of its high-profile accessories shop on the first floor of the downtown store. "We are currently renovating the former space and will announce how we will use this space once all is confirmed," Macy's spokesman Kamal Bosamia said. The writing was on the wall when Louis Vuitton opened its first Twin Cities stand-alone store at Galleria in 2010. At the time, Louis Vuitton executives told me the Edina store was an extension of their Minnesota presence rather than a replacement. Today, Louis Vuitton had no comment on the closing. Despite the continued presence of the Oval Room at the Minneapolis store, luxury brands are not focus for Macy's.
