Ivivva, lululemon's gateway brand for young girls, has chosen Minneapolis for its first-ever warehouse sale.
In the past, ivivva apparel has been part of lululemon warehouse sales—but this the first stand-alone sale for the brand, which, after a few years of heavy community outreach and growing U.S. presence, has matured to the point of boasting its own rabid fan base—both young girls, and their lulu-clad mothers. The ivivva warehouse sale will take place April 15-17 at Shops at West End in St. Louis Park, in the former LoveCulture store space.
"The Minnesota community has shown ivivva so much love, and we wanted to share that back with this fun, warehouse sale party," says ivivva spokeswoman Laura McIntyre. When lululemon hosted its annual warehouse sale at the Minneapolis Convention Center in 2014, thousands of fans poured in—many from out of state—and stood in line for hours for the chance to score discounts on athletic apparel.
Ivivva has just two stores in the Twin Cities, one at Mall of America and a "showroom" tucked inside a carriage house in Excelsior. Just as luluelemon did in its early days, ivivva is building its brand by building community—sponsoring dance groups and gymnastics teams and yoga classes—connecting with girls…girls who love to wear yoga pants.
Of course this being lululemon, the pants aren't cheap, even in tween sizes. At the warehouse sale, discounts will range from 30 to 70 percent off. Expect to find pants for $39; shorts, skirts, and tanks for $19.
While the space will be considerably smaller than the lululemon warehouse sale, ivivva hopes to create the same excitement. "We have LOTS of product—more than 20,000 units," McIntyre says. "And the same big party atmosphere with lots of surprises." Think: dancers, and special appearances by inspiring young women, like the sisterpreneurs behind da Bomb Fizzers.
Warehouse sale hours are Friday and Saturday, April 15-16 10 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sunday, April 17, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Come with a credit or debit card—no cash and no store gift cards will be accepted at the warehouse sale. All sales are final—no returns or exchanges.
