Proving that you're only as old as you feel, and it's never too late to reinvent, 40-year-old family-owned Goodthings this week unveils a major expansion that solidifies its reputation as the heart and soul of White Bear Lake shopping.
The new Goodthings clothing store, two doors down from the original location, is a sleek, two-level space that feels warm and contemporary, with midcentury modern details. Goodthings' women's and footwear labels moved over to the new store, with plenty of room for new brands targeting younger customers. Downstairs is Goodthings' new activewear department featuring Lucy, Prana, Beyond Yoga, and MSP, the performance activewear line by the company that makes the Mircale Suit. There's also space for a yoga studio, which will open later this summer.
Grand opening festivities are on now with daily drawings for more than $5,000 in prizes. A grand opening party takes place Thursday, May 15, 4 to 9 p.m. Guests who spend $250 will receive a Lilla P Origami wrap (valued at $92) while supplies last.
Meanwhile, construction is already underway on the original Goodthings space in White Bear lake, which will now be devoted to gift, stationery, home, and a growing baby section. Goodthings also has a store at Shoppes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove.
