If you've yet to visit 411 Top Floor, the surprisingly chic boutique above Studio 411 Salonspa in Bryn Mawr, today is a great time to visit, and meet budding designer Kristi Vosbeck. Her label is based in New York, but she hails from Sleepy Eye, Minn., where her family ran the Palace Shoe and Clothing store for more than a century. She was bit by the fashion bug early—modeling children's clothes in style shows for her family store. Vosbeck went on to Parsons School of Design, and after a series of internships, launched her own label in 2010 selling online and to boutiques around the country. Her aunt and uncle are clients of Studio 411 owner Jeffery Caron, which is how she came to find out about the evolving fashion boutique, 411 Top Floor. "It seemed like a perfect place to show my collection in my home state!"
If you're in need of a special occasion dress, take note: Vosbeck focuses on evening wear. "I would describe my style as classic, elegant, with a fashion forward twist," she says. The spring line will be available at the trunk show, with fall pieces available for pre-order. But while you've got Vosbeck here in person, ask about custom orders. Trunk show: Wednesday, April 16, 5 to 8 p.m. 411 S. Cedar Lake Road., Mpls.
