There is no shortage of good consignment shopping in the Twin Cities, but this week, savvy shoppers are abuzz about the first ever Fashion Exchange, which promises designer clothes straight out of the fanciest closets locally and in London. Yes, London. Twin Cities transplant Jane Green (wife of ShopNBC Host Daniel Green) has owned a consignment store across the pond for years. She got inspired to try it here when she sold some pieces at Fashion Avenue in Edina and “got amazing prices.” The sale will include designer apparel Green has collected, as well as pieces from other European boutiques. Labels will include Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana as well as more accessible American brands. “I really tried to keep price points down,” Green says. A portion of proceeds will benefit Fraser. Green doesn’t want the day-to-day commitment of a consignment store in the Twin Cities, but she hopes to make Fashion Exchange a semi-annual event, at least.
