Project Runway alum Danielle Everine made a colorful return to the Twin Cities fashion scene Tuesday evening unveiling her first collection in several seasons at City Wide Artists gallery in Minneapolis. The accessory of the evening: 3D glasses, distributed to guests to emphasize the vibrancy and artistry of Everine's patterned fabrics. The 10-piece collection was inspired by enameled Matryoshka nesting dolls and the Japanese predecessor, Daruma dolls. The results: florals so lively and intricate, they looked hand painted on a mix of modern and retro silhouettes including a shift dress, silk jodphurs, a cropped wool kimono and a flared "Arc" blouse. All pieces are now available on Everine's website; prices range from $75 to $245.
