[/caption] Number one question I was asked while handing out tote bags at Mall of America on Black Friday: Where is Forever 21? The Forever 21 superstore in the southeast court (a portion of the old Bloomingdale's space) will finally open on Saturday, Dec. 15—at 8 a.m. Early birds get gift cards: the first 400 shoppers in the store will receive a gift card worth anywhere from $10 to $210. The mammoth, 80,000-square-foot Forever 21 will feature the fast fashion brand's full assortment for women, men, and children. Seems like the might have room for a small castle or something in there too. It will be something to see, for sure. And no, still no word on what will take the rest of the Bloomingdale's space. [/caption] Calhoun Square is anticipating a big opening of its own: H&M will open its Uptown Minneapolis store with the usual dance party atmosphere (do employees have to boogie down at their interviews, I wonder?) at noon on Friday, Dec. 14. H&M has a habit of opening mid-day and pumping up the jams to make a big entrance. The first 100 shoppers will receive a t-shirt and an "Access to Fashion" pass worth anywhere from $10 to $300.
