Has a local nurse made a difference in your life?

Mpls.St.Paul Magazine is in its 9th year of honoring nurses with the Outstanding Nurses Awards. We want to hear from medical professionals, patients, and families. Introduce us to exceptional nurses who are inspirational leaders, changemakers, and dedicated professionals—people who really make a difference when it comes to working with patients, colleagues, and teams.

We are looking for outstanding nurses in the following categories:

Administrative Leadership Advanced Practice Clinic Setting Children's Health
Educator Emergency Setting Hospital Setting Informatics
Intensive Care Mental Health Public Health Researcher
Long-term Care

In addition, we will award a Rising Star Award to a nurse with fewer than five years since certification, and a Lifetime Achievement Award to a nurse with more than thirty years since certification. Please note, all nominees must be board-certified registered nurses.

New this year: Patients and families can submit nominations and share stories about how a nurse has impacted their life. A select number of nurses from this pool of nominations will receive a special Award of Appreciation.

To nominate a nurse today, select the correct form:

I am MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL: Medical professionals working in hospitals, clinics, or other care settings, or in the field of higher education. Nomination Form.

I am a PATIENT OR FAMILY MEMBER OF A PATIENT: Nomination Form.

All entries will be judged by an esteemed panel of Twin Cities nurses working in the field. Outstanding Nurses finalists and winners, along with those receiving an Award of Appreciation, will be celebrated at an event in August. Winners will be featured in the December 2020 issue of Mpls.St.Paul Magazine.
