2013 Showcase Home: Cathedral Hill
For the 16th year, Mpls.St.Paul Magazine teamed up with the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID MN) to produce the premier interior design event, the ASID Showcase Home. This historic mansion in St. Paul boasts 22 spaces, including four public B+B suites, that were transformed by 39 designers. With 16 tour dates and 13 special events, the chance to view top design trends and details are endless.
2012 Showcase Home: Lake of the Isles
This home situated near the Lake of the Isles was designed to be modern, elegant and green. It was built in 1899 before the Lake of the Isles was dredged and continues to hold rich history. The home was made over from top to bottom by 30 designers including spaces for gathering, meditating and creating.
2010 Showcase Home: Lake Calhoun & Lake of the Isles
In 2010, the ambitious team of top designers transformed two residences for the ASID Showcase Home Tour. The first home was a luxury apartment on Lake Calhoun and the second was the home of Dan Buettner on the Lake of the Isles. Dan’s home incorporated many elements from his book Blue Zones, which focused on living a long and healthy life.
2009 Showcase Home: Edina
The 2009 Showcase Home located in the Sunny-slope neighborhood of Edina, was a 50s style suburban ranch house that was overhauled by more than 40 designers, architects and contractors. The home transformed into a sleek, midcentury modern home. The designers played off of the original style of the home, giving it a retro-chic look.
2008 Showcase Home: Lake Harriet
Homeowner and local advertising icon Pat Fallon put his personal touch into this modern Lake Harriet Home. The home was first built as small cottage in 1905 and had been expanded on over the years leaving it with clashing design trends from various eras. 40 designers re-decorated and styled the home from top to bottom with a new modern vision.
