From the Doctor
Scott D. Anseth is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in joint replacement of the lower extremity. He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and completed a Joint Replacement Fellowship at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California.
Dr. Anseth led in the development of the Joint Replacement Center at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and has served as Medical Director since its inception in 2007. In addition, he has helped in the evaluation and development of orthopedic instrumentation for joint replacements. Dr. Anseth is currently participating in a multicenter clinical trials involving unicompartmental (partial) knee joint replacements. He is also a reviewer for the Journal of Arthroplasty. Dr. Anseth’s commitment to helping others involves serving on several boards including: Twin Cities Orthopedics, Twin Cities Orthopedics Foundation, Allina Integrated Medical Network, as well as the current Chair for the Arthritis Foundation, Twin Cities Leadership Board. Dr. Anseth is passionate about reducing pain and improving function for his patients so they can enjoy an active lifestyle.
Dr. Anseth enjoys spending time with his 3 daughters, usually at a soccer field, court or pool where they are competing.
Dr. Anseth’s philosophy on patient care is simple, “Treat my patients and their families like you would want my mother and family treated.”
