From the Restaurant
Marissa and Greg Frankenfield wanted to create a place where surrounding West side neighbors could experience a fine-dining restaurant and enjoy a world class theatre experience without having to go downtown. Cast & Cru is our chef-driven restaurant, using freshly made and sustainable ingredients, located inside the historic Old Log Theatre in Excelsior. Created as a stand-alone restaurant, we share a lobby area and compliment the needs of the theatre and host destination diners and neighbors around the Lake Minnetonka area. We take garden to table quite literally and have our own vegetables and fresh herbs from our gardens during the spring/summer and fall. There is always something on our seasonal menus for every taste and budget. Our name represents our Cast of great employees and Cru for our love of wines. The bar serves meticulously selected wines as well as craft beer, fine scotches and whiskeys. Our guests have the choice of going to see a show, eat at the restaurant, or do both. The surroundings of our 11 ½ acres, makes Cast & Cru a very attractive and relaxing must see destination.
