Let the kids wear their Halloween costumes early and head to The Bakken for a not-so-scary celebration with face painting, spooky science experiments with the Kitchen Pantry Scientist, art making, and trick or treating with Abamath’s LEGO robots. Frankenstein’s Monster will be traipsing the museum halls, too. Free.
Family Day: Planes, Trains & ARTmobiles @ Minneapolis Institute of Arts
Sunday 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Much like JuiceBox in vinyasa yoga class, it’s all about art in motion at this month’s Target Family Day. The children can build their own art cars and jet packs, build boats and test them out in the MIA fountain, watch real boat makers at work, and more. The Choo Choo Bob Show will be rocking some train-tastic tuneage, too. Free.
