Spring Fling Weekend @ Como Park Zoo and Conservatory
Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Look for signs of spring, make crafts, and find out how the animals get ready for warmer weather, then check out the all-purple Spring Flower Show at Marjorie McNeely Conservatory. It’s free!
Saturday with a Scientist @ Bell Museum of Natural History
Saturday 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Let the children learn how primates live (and try their luck at termite fishing). The event will be led by expert Lisa O’Bryan, who followed in Jane Gooddall’s footsteps to study 10 chimps in Tanzania’s Gombe National Park. It’s free with museum admission, which is $8 for adults, $5 for kids, and free for toddlers two years and younger.
Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Viewing Party @ Mall of America Rotunda
Saturday 7 p.m.
Take the kids and their friends to watch the awards live on a giant screen. There will be refreshments and, in true Nickelodeon fashion, a live sliming for one lucky kid. It’s free.
