City of Lakes Loppet Ski Festival @ Theodore Wirth Park and Lake of the Isles
Friday – Sunday
Among other happenings, there will be free tubing at Theodore Wirth Park from 5 – 9 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday. And since there’s no snow on the lake for skiing, this year’s Luminary Loppet (pictured above) will be a nighttime walking event around a candlelit Lake of the Isles on Saturday night. On-site registration is $20 for kids and $30 for adults.
Saturday 4 – 6 p.m.
Go discover the frosty magic of that Eden Prairie ice castle (here’s what to know if you go), then head to Miller Park’s outdoor rink for free ice skating, snowshoeing (snowshoes provided), music, and a bonfire. Ice castle tickets are $8.95 for ages 4-11, $12.95 for ages 12 years and older, and free for kids 3 years and younger.
