Since its opening, HISTORIC studio in St. Louis Park has kept its doors closed to the public, except for a few sale days a year, instead catering to interior designers looking for unique, statement-making pieces. Lucky for us, that's about to change. As of November 10, HISTORIC studio is open to the public.
“We thought it was important to share a unique shopping experience with a broader audience.” says Mike Whittlef, who owns the shop with brother Robb Whittlef (of HGTV’s Decorating Cents).
HISTORIC studio, a boutique interior design firm, doesn’t carry top lines; they’re more about finding unique pieces that add something extra to their customers' homes. “As a design firm, our aesthetic tends toward European antiques and one-of-a-kind art objects, so our warehouse is stocked full of things our shoppers may not have seen before,” says Kelsey Tollefson, HISTORIC studio project manager.
What are they most excited for? Whittlef put it simply, “The opportunity to help people find something that changes their home.”
