300 Top Local Dentists

Have a toothache? Kids need braces? Just moving to the Twin Cities? Looking for helpful information on where to find a new dentist? Who better to turn to than the dentists themselves?

For this, our fourth Top Dentists listing, Mpls.St.Paul Magazine surveyed all 2,000-plus licensed and practicing dentists in the ten-county metropolitan area and 1,000 randomly selected hygienists. We asked them to whom they would turn for their own dental care—or the dental needs of their loved ones—and a record 20 percent replied, selecting dentists in eight categories: general dentistry, endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, prosthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. (It should be noted that cosmetic dentistry is not a specialty recognized by the American Dental Association, but rather our category denotes dentists who pay special attention to cosmetic corrections.) Names were obtained from the State of Minnesota’s Minnesota Bookstore Mailing List Service. The 300 most often recommended dentists made our final list.

Please use our list as a starting place in your search for a family dentist. Each dentist has listed his or her primary clinic, but many practice at several locations, so make sure you ask.
